The content of the course has given me a wide range of knowledge and confidence in many areas including; an awareness of cultural diversities, how to facilitate LD students in oral language, literacy, mathematics and behaviour management of students.

The EduTrain course that I have recently completed was thorough, really interesting and was presented in a relaxed manner where all input was valued and encouraged. It has provided me with the knowledge and experience to support me in my role as a Learning Support Officer.

Before the course began, I was a little apprehensive about what the expectations would be but after the first session, I had a clearer idea. Paul was a great presenter who gave us a wealth of knowledge and practical ideas to use in the classroom. I really enjoyed the course and found it interesting and applicable to what I do with my students at my school. I definitely have more confidence now working with a variety of students who have different needs.

I found the course really interesting and I have learnt a lot from completing my assessments. It has made me more aware of my role as a Learning Support Officer and what is required in my role.

I have often reflected on the great change that this course has made to my work. I have a greater understanding of the possibilities for supporting students and a much stronger self belief in the role that I can play in advocating on behalf of these students to ensure that their needs are met and not discounted as behavioural problems.

The Education Support Course was very detailed and covered a lot of content that is required in my role. The course met my needs and I felt it supported me in my current role.

I have worked as a Learning Support Officer for 13 years and have plenty of experience working with children. However, participating in this course has been an  invaluable experience for me as it has enhanced my education and broadened my knowledge in specific areas that I previously was not confident in. For example, I was encouraged to reflect on areas that I felt needed improvement, my knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders was broadened and my skills regarding behaviour management have improved.
